Each Alverstur bus has a roomy luggage compartment.
Please read our baggage policy carefully.
You can carry one piece of hand luggage and one piece of checked baggage free of charge.
Check that your carry-on baggage is placed on the luggage rack above your seat and does not block the emergency exits. This is important for the safety of all passengers.
Put all valuables in your carry-on baggage: money, documents, jewelry, gadgets and accessories.
If you need medications on the road, do not forget to take them with you to the salon.
In order not to confuse your luggage with someone else, attach a label with the name and address to it.
Our drivers are always ready to help you load your luggage on the bus.
Restrictions for additional baggage are the same as for ordinary checked baggage: the total amount of measurements should not exceed 180 cm, the weight should be up to 20 kg. We cannot guarantee that we will take more than one piece of baggage. The possibility depends on the specific flight. You can only carry one piece of excess baggage. However, we do not guarantee that we will accept such baggage for transportation. We do not transport electric bicycles, tandems and tricycles due to limited space in buses. So we guarantee that every passenger will be able to carry at least one piece of checked baggage.
Prams, wheelchairs and walking gear
Strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and other walking equipment can be transported free of charge. Wheelchairs and walking aids must be registered in advance. To do this, contact us as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours before the departure of the bus (for other countries – at least 36 hours). We transport such items in the luggage compartment.
If you move in a wheelchair and want to stay in it throughout the trip, fill out a special form at least 7 days before the departure of the bus. We need to check that on the flight of your choice there is an opportunity for carrying a passenger in a wheelchair. Unfortunately, we do not transport wheelchairs that cannot be folded, as well as electric chairs. Baby carriages are considered to be excess baggage in size, so they must be registered no later than 48 hours before the departure of the bus. To do this, call our support service. Musical Instruments Musical instruments can be taken along as hand luggage if they correspond to the allowed dimensions of hand luggage (the sum of measurements does not exceed 120 cm, weight – up to 7 kg). At the same time, you can take into the salon either one item of hand luggage or one musical instrument.
Musical instruments, the dimensions of which are larger (the sum of measurements does not exceed 120 cm, but weighs more than 7 kg), are considered as excess baggage. We recommend to transport your musical instrument in a hard case. Large musical instruments must be registered no later than 48 hours before the departure of the bus. To do this, call our support service. Unfortunately, you cannot transport musical instruments that are larger than 135 x 48 x 35 cm (with a case), such as a double bass.
